20 Million Visitors at EXPO
Number of visitors at the EXPO 2005 has reached 20 million on Friday, September 16th, thus topping the initial estimates by five million 9 days before the closing. On these last days of the World Exposition, the EXPO Site is visited by more than 200.000 people every day, resulting in long queues on the entrances to the Site, as well as in front of the pavilions. The Organizer revealed that more than 3 million tickets sold before the opening of the Exhibition were still unused three weeks before the end of the EXPO. Therefore, it is expected that crowds and queues will last until the very end of the EXPO 2005, on September 25th.
Increased number of visitors to the EXPO Site is also followed by increase in VIP visits. Among many other delegations from Japan and abroad, the Croatian Pavilion was visited by Mr. Mitoji Yabunaka, Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan.
