  3 Million Visitors to the EXPO

  The Spanish organizer has published statistical data for the first two months of the World Exposition. Since its opening, on June 14th until August 12th, 2.984.615 visitors visited EXPO 2008, which means the average of 49.744 visitors per day. Taking into consideration the rising trend of the number of visitors on weekly basis, the organizer is expecting the total number of visitors to exceed 5.5 million by September 14th, the closing day of the Exhibition.

  National Day of Croatia at EXPO 2008

  The National day of Croatia at the EXPO 2008 in Zaragoza is celebrated on Sunday, 29 June. The Croatian delegation will be lead by the President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Stjepan Mesić. Apart from visiting the Croatian pavilion the President will also inaugurate the exhibition „Seafaring on the Croatian Adriatic“. A dance ensemble Liberdance and a capella singers Klapa Sinj will also be performing as a part of the cultural and artistic programme.

  Opening of the EXPO 2008

  EXPO Zaragoza 2008 was opened for the public on Saturday, June 14th. At a ceremony held the night before, the King of Spain officially opened the Exposition. Among the 2500 guests, the ceremony was attended by highest representatives of all levels of Spanish authorities, foreign dignitaries, as well as Section Commissioners for EXPO and ambassadors of 105 participating counties.
